The Early Years
I've been concocting herbal experiments in the kitchen since I was just a kid. It's part of how I was raised. My mom used to take a little of this and a little of that, and make simple herbal remedies for the various ailments that affected our family of 9.
12 years ago my dad told me that if I decided not go to college, I needed to do something better. I was homeschooled with my 6 siblings on our 5 acre property, and the sky was the limit. We ran and played, planted vegetables and sold pies to the local restaurants & coffee shops. Raising bees was my first entrepreneurial endeavor, gifted to me for my 10th birthday. I wanted my own business ... and that was just the beginning.
In 2012 I graduated, and left my brother's bakery to pursue herbalism and aromatherapy. The use of plants for healing fascinated me and I wanted to know everything about how God intended for them to work. I started experimenting with herbal balms and teas, creating simple products to sell. I launched a little etsy store, and later designed a website.

In the years following I hosted workshops, stocked local stores, and shared whatever I learned with friends and strangers. Empowering others to look past symptom relieving drugs in order to get to the root cause of issues, and to find long term whole body healing is what I'm most passionate about. With a little knowledge we can do a lot. And we don't have to live in fear, or ignorance. There are more tools and resources than ever before.
This blog is a place where I can share a little of what I've learned, and hopefully encourage you to make your home a place of healing. It starts with the simple day to day decisions - what you eat, what you put on, what you use around your house.
